These are some initial memories of my time in South Africa's Kruger National Park. During full-on early morning hikes and early evening open-air jeep excursions, I encountered a range of animals and vistas that bring to life this one simple word: Safari. The play of light and shadows within a landscape of tawny golds and dusty browns makes for dynamic B&W photography.
Additionally, sitting around an elephant watering hole at sunset and watching the wispy clouds and rising moon over Acacia trees was ... well, to say "inspiring" would be an understatement. There are no perfect sunsets (ocean vs. desert); but there is perfection within each setting moment.
